Pembroke Siege Training - Archery and Axe Throwing

Amazing fun for 2 hours learning how to Throw Knives, Axes and Shoot Arrows.  The experience is a short 5-10 minute walk from the house.

The field where the activity takes place is where Cromwells' Army camped and laid siege to Pembroke Castle during the Civil war of 1648.  The Cannons would have fired from here through where the house now stands into the Castle!

Pre booking is required at the link below.

Bosherston Lily Ponds & Broad Haven South

Everyone has their favourite beach in Pembrokeshire.  Ours is Broadhaven South, we always take our friends and family there. It is a short 15 minute drive to the national trust car park where there is plenty of parking most of the year round. However it will fill up at peak season if you set off too late in the day.

There are a number of different walking routes around the stunning ponds which brings you out onto the impressive Broad Haven South Beach.  The approach to the beach is absolutely stunning, there is always plenty of space.

A slight diversion could take you to the Stackpole Inn. This is one of our favourite pubs in the county. They do great Lunches and Dinners (Dog friendly too).

The Beach and Walks are dog friendly.

Cleddau Canoe Tour

Our Top Recommendation - A 3 hour guided Canoe Tour through the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.  One of the highest rated activities in the County and Wales.   Journey along the stunning Cleddau whilst guided by knowledgeable and experienced guides.  You will see over 1000 years of history and rare wildlife in an unspoiled and quiet landscape.

Suitable for all ages from ages 5 to 95. You will journey with the wind and tide, so high levels of fitness are not required. The tour starts with a 5-10 minute drive from the house.  All logistics are taken care of including return transport to your car at the end of the journey.

Tours can book out at peak season so early booking is recommended.

Young Person Activity Days

For ages 7-16. These generally happen a few days a week during school holidays. They meet a short walk away from the house. Half a day of land based activities, such as: Bushcraft, Archery, Team games and half a day of water based activities such as Kayaking, Canoeing, Stand Up Paddle Boarding.  The activities are AALA licensed and led by highly experienced and caring staff.   Your children will have an awesome day whilst you relax or have a day of activities they might not enjoy as much.
